Generally, the pediatric emergency room is the first approach a child has in the hospital, where the presence of doctors he does not know, who have to make his first visit, scares him. Thanks to ABIO Verona, we have accomplished a great work "the sea of dreams," and every time we manage to give an emotion and a smile to hospitalized children, we will have all done something special together

"The paintings created by artist Irilli in Pediatrics and the Pediatric Emergency Room are part of the larger project of humanizing Villafranca Hospital. We want to make our little patients feel at home and at the same time offer them the best care. On this same occasion, we presented a series of projects that will enrich and complement a very high level of health care that increasingly involves parents in the intrahospital pathway."

" Generally, the pediatric emergency room is the first approach a child has in the hospital, where the presence of doctors he does not know, who have to make his first visit, scares him.
Therefore, it becomes important to build a child-friendly reception and create an environment that can help doctors to win his trust with a different approach, accompanied by imagination, colors and transmit serenity to him.
After creating the forest for pediatrics, I thought of transforming the pediatric emergency room into " the sea of dreams" with large windows overlooking the seabed with dolphins, turtles and colorful fish that will welcome young patients with a smile.
Special thanks to ABIO Verona who funded the work and donated it to the hospital, and thanks to all of ULSS 9 and Magalini who welcomed us with enthusiasm.
