Artist SILVIO IRILLI’s work dedicated to the children of Visso (MC) delivered.
On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the earthquake that struck the Macerata Apennines, artist SILVIO IRILLI unveils the artistic redevelopment work he wanted to donate to the I Pulcini Kindergarten in Visso. A tribute in the sign of color and hope, which also received special praise from President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.
“Certain that I represent the feelings not only of the Municipal Administration but of the entire vissana citizenry, I would like to express the most heartfelt thanks for the extremely high level of professionalism and humanity shown by Silvio Irilli in the execution of the wonderful paintings made in the municipal kindergarten. Gestures such as his demonstrate a sincere attachment to our territories and take on even more value on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the terrible earthquake that severely affected our community in 2016. In renewing our sincere gratitude and appreciation, we hope that the relationship established may continue over time and that our paths may cross again in the future”

“In my 4 days of work at the Visso Kindergarten, I got to know stories of people who have been living in a very difficult post-earthquake reality for the past 5 years and where the pandemic has only exacerbated the already existing hardships. Entering the red zone and seeing time stand still on Oct. 26, 2016, made me very sad, but at the same time it gave me the impetus to create a work that would be able to restore hope to the children of the village of Visso. I thank the Nati per Lottare Onlus Association for their valuable contribution and Noi Geninetti for donating decorations that embellished the work. I will always carry this experience in my heart and hope that this work can truly be a message of color and hope for the future of this area, allowing the children of the I Pulcini Kindergarten to enter a fairy tale every day and imagine a happy world together with Loredana dell'Orso and the other educators”
