THE SEA IN THE LANE

A big dream for Messina's new pediatrics will become reality in April 2025

The art of Painted Hospitals and the enthusiasm of ABC Friends of Children on the Ward united in a wonderful art project for the young patients of Messina Pediatrics. Captain Dolphin with his entire team will be there, and together with Benny, ABC’s mascot, they will be the stars of a scenario that will bring joy and smiles.

CORRIDOR WALL PANELS + THE STAINED GLASS WINDOW

A series of panels along with the work dedicated to Silvana the volunteer who passed away in 2021 will set up the walls of the corridor, and the decoration of the large stained glass window.

The ABC Association Friends of Children on the Ward.

Our activity takes place at the pediatric wards of the Polyclinic of Messina where, through the work of volunteers, we organize playful and recreational moments to give a smile to the young patients. In the setting of the playrooms of the various wards, our volunteers entertain the little ones by using their imagination and creativity, with the help of toys, and other recreational material, which the Association provides during the three hours of daily recreation. The children spontaneously choose how to engage their time with ABC volunteers: producing cute drawings that enrich the playrooms,engaging in puzzle making or simply letting themselves be carried away by the playful spirit and the enthralling inspiration of the volunteers who have one mission: to entertain! ….e have fun

“When children enter the hospital they are taken out of their daily reality. In the new Pediatrics of Messina Hospital together with Painted Hospitals we will create a different and more pleasant welcome than a perspective you might see in a hospital.”
